Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, and a leadership statement. Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America and Comcast NBCUniversal. All applicants must agree to accept the decision as final. All scholarship awardees must complete and approve the terms and conditions set forth in the media release included as part of the scholarship acceptance form.
Scholarship awardees will be notified in March 2019. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants will be notified with the final decision.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation, Inc. Scholarships made payable to the school are processed in one installment in August 2019.
Recipients have no obligation to Comcast NBCUniversal. They are, however, required to notify Scholarship America of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information, and to send a complete official transcript when requested.
Comcast NBCUniversal reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
