Automotive Technician Scholarship Program

Federal-Mogul Motorparts Corporation is pleased to announce its Automotive Technician Scholarship Program awarding twelve (12) students up to $2,500 to help support educational expenses for the 2017-2018 school year. Funding for the scholarships is provided through the Federal-Mogul Motorparts Corporation Garage Gurus, who provide industry-leading training to automotive professionals Onsite, Online and On-Demand throughout the United States.


Individuals who meet the following criteria are eligible for the Federal-Mogul Motorparts Automotive Technician Scholarship. The individuals must:

  • at the time of application be (i) enrolled full-time at a US high school; or (ii) accepted or currently enrolled, either full-time or part-time, at an accredited college, university or trade school within the US. Trade school should be the equivalent of a two-year associate program.
  • be in pursuit of an automotive technician degree or certification (or equivalent degree/certification).
  • carry a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
  • be a legal resident of the United States, in the United States on a student Visa or a resident alien.
  • submit most recent transcript of all academic work.
  • submit a completed application which can be found at
  • submit two (2) letters of recommendation from non-family members.
  • submit a typed essay (no more than four (4) pages in length double spaced – 1,000 words maximum) or a video (no more than two (2) minutes long) describing “why I want to be a top technician.” Maximum file size is 25MB.

Queen Square Dental Clinic Scholarship

According to Statistic Brain, 78 percent of individuals will develop at least one cavity before turning 18.
Queen Square Dental Clinic is a practice that’s dedicated to encouraging the best possible dental care for everyone in our community. Poor dental hygiene is an issue that affects people throughout our society, and many individuals fail to secure the expert dental care that can help prevent problems like gum disease and cavities. Because we see the effects of inadequate dental health every day, we’ve established a scholarship contest in order to promote better dental and oral hygiene. We want to spread the word about good dental health. The person who wins the contest receives a $1,000 scholarship to help meet the cost of higher education.

Who’s Eligible?

The contest is open to any high school senior and any student accepted into or enrolled at a university, college, or trade school.

What’s Required?

Contestants will need to write an essay describing their good daily dental hygiene habits. The value of these habits to others should be made clear, and their benefits should be described thoroughly.

How Are Essays Judged?

We will consider each essay based on both its accuracy regarding dental health and its overall creativity.

The Courtesy Auto Service Automotive Educational Scholarship

Courtesy Auto Service and Tire, a Pierce County, WA auto repair shop located at the Tacoma Mall, has been serving customers with honesty and integrity for over a decade, specializing in both domestic and import auto service, as well as hybrid vehicle repair. As a way of giving back to the community, and to foster the pursuit of automotive repair as a career by students of excellence, we are proud to announce this scholarship opportunity.


•Submit a completed Essay (below description) indicating a sincere interest in an automotive career.
•Provide an Official transcript of all academic work, ASE Certifications or related instruction and training.
•Submit two letters of recommendation supporting your automotive interests.
•Be accepted/attending an accredited college, university or trade school within the United States at the time of application (trade school should equal a two-year associate program).
•Be a United States citizen or in the United States on a Student Visa.
•Be enrolled full-time.
•Have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Special Criteria:

•Submit a 700-800 word essay via email to, describing your desire to pursue a career in the automotive repair industry and your goals and objectives for the next five years.
•One winning finalist will be awarded a $500 scholarship to be used for educational expenses at their accredited college, university or trade school.

Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo Scholarship

Kiwanis is an international service organization with the stated purpose of service to youth and the community. The Kiwanis scholarship of $500.00 will be awarded to the Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center graduating student who the Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo decides best combines the qualities of citizenship and academics.
