SUMMARY
In this key role, you will collaborate with the Materials Manager to secure optimal suppliers and manage the full procurement lifecycle for goods and services, essential for our production and engineering operations. You’ll ensure effective inventory management, conduct material forecasting, and maintain vendor relationships, contributing significantly to our operational efficiency and project success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate with the Sales team, Engineering team, and Master Scheduler to align material procurement with customer demands and ensure efficient inventory management, including implementing Kanban systems and improving inventory turnover and accuracy.
• Manage daily procurement activities, supplier relationships, and negotiations, focusing on lead times, pricing, and minimum order quantities to enhance value and operational efficiency.
• Engage in the development and sourcing of new products, while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of Microsoft Dynamics GP system for optimal inventory forecasting and reporting.
• Source, select and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best value (pricing, quality, delivery, and terms) for purchased goods and services.
• Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals, considering price, delivery and terms. Provide cost and lead time information provided by supplier to other stakeholders.
• Analyze inventory, market trends, and purchasing reports to make informed decisions, ensuring the best value in terms of pricing, quality, and delivery terms from suppliers.
• Prepare and execute purchase orders, RFQs/RFPs, ensuring procurement methods are aligned with company strategies and customer requirements.
• Address and resolve supplier discrepancies, maintain the approved supplier list, and expedite deliveries to meet project deadlines while fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Contribute to long-term procurement strategies, participate in continuous improvement efforts, and support cross-functional teams in project procurement needs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, participate in supplier evaluations and performance reviews, and stay engaged with industry trends through events and trade shows.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement processes meet business objectives, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring compliance with financial and operational policies.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with 3-4 years of supply chain or purchasing experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, particularly Microsoft GP, with excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially MS Excel.
• Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles, with the ability to promote and adhere to established processes.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, showcasing flexibility, multitasking skills, and a self-starting attitude.
• Results-driven approach with a strong track record in materials supply chain roles, characterized by excellent organizational skills and a passion for driving improvements.
• Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, with a knack for managing cross-departmental expectations and handling inventory management.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside strong research and critical thinking capabilities.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and prints, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
• Team player with the ability to work independently, effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Experience working in an ISO certified company and writing ISO level procedures.

Compensation | Min $75,000 to Max $80,000
This position is eligible for experience specific compensation ranges based on candidate experience, compensation will be aligned and determined based on this criteria. Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
