Assistance League of Everett – Graduation Award
Graduation Award Criteria – Class of 2020
Assistance League of Everett is a nonprofit, all volunteer charitable organization whose philanthropic programs support those in need throughout Snohomish County. One of these programs, Graduation Awards, provides funds to eligible students from area high schools to help meet the extra expenses incurred during their senior year. Awards are open to all high school seniors.
Recipients of Graduation Awards will be selected by the Assistance League Graduation Awards Committee and be solely based on information supplied from the completed application forms. Be sure to include complete and accurate information.
Awards of $250 per student are available for senior year graduation expenses; examples are cap and gown, senior party/trip, announcements, pictures, senior projects, etc.
Financial need is the main criterion for this award. School activities, community service and a GPA above 2.0 will also be considered for extra points. Recipients should meet the following basic requirements:
- Be graduating with the class of 2020.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student as defined by the school registrar.
- Have a high school cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above. (Less than a 2.0 GPA may be awarded on a case-by-case basis.) School Counselor must confirm student is working at a 2.0 level or higher for those schools that do not give grades.
Please carefully review the application before returning it to your school counselor/advisor as only completed applications will be eligible to be considered for this award.
Completed applications must be returned to the school advisor/counselor for signature and completion before mailing to Assistance League of Everett. All application information is confidential and for review of the Graduation Awards Committee only.
Applications must be received by Assistance League no later than March 3, 2020. Any applications received after that date will not be processed. Your counselor will need them prior to that date to allow for their review and comments.
