About the Class
Interested in a career as an Automotive Technician? This is the program for you! Skilled technicians are in high demand due to the constantly evolving technology of today's vehicles and retiring workforce of aging technicians. Currently, there are not enough new technicians to fill the demand of the automotive repair industry! Here at Sno-Isle TECH you'll have the opportunity to learn the foundational skills required to be a successful technician. In our NATEF-Accredited (www.NATEF.org) Auto Tech program, students have the opportunity to learn how to repair actual vehicles using Automotive Service Technician (AST) NATEF tasks and guidelines. We are also an AYES (www.AYES.org) school which provides students and our automotive program with additional opportunities.
This automotive program is designed to be for the career-minded and not for the weekend hobbyist.
Students have an opportunity to earn numerous industry-recognized certificates, and participate in after school training opportunities put on by industry partners. (Valvoline, SP2.org, Snap On Meter & Torque Certification, Student ASE Certificates, Program Certificate, Napa-related Certificates, etc.)
There is a $50 lab fee for this class (safety glasses, field trip, ASE Student testing, misc. consumables). Lab fee is non-refundable once a student has been registered for student ASE testing.
